Trophy Water Support
This page provides support information for Trophy Water on iPhone and iPad.
What Trophy Water Does
Trophy Water is a private fishing logbook and planning app. You can log catches, photos, measurements, notes, locations, weather, water context, trip plans, trip recaps, saved waters, map layers, and field-guide information.
Trophy Water does not require a Trophy Water account. Your journal is private by default, stored on device, and can sync through your personal iCloud when iCloud is available and enabled.
Trial And Lifetime Access
Trophy Water includes a free 30-day trial.
The trial does not start at download, first launch, or onboarding. It starts only after the first successful save of a Catch, Trip Recap, or Trip Plan.
Lifetime Access is one permanent non-consumable App Store purchase. It is not a subscription, has no recurring charge, and has nothing to cancel.
After the trial expires, your existing catches, trip recaps, trip plans, photos, saved waters, journal browsing, journal search and filters, Settings, privacy information, Help & Support, data export, and Restore Purchases remain available. Creating, editing, deleting, importing, planning, advanced analysis, premium map and condition tools, measurement tools, and sharing-card tools require Lifetime Access.
Restore Purchases
If you already purchased Lifetime Access, use Restore Purchases from the paywall or Settings. Restore Purchases asks the App Store to check the current Apple Account for a previous Lifetime Access purchase.
Make sure the device is signed in to the same Apple Account that made the original purchase. If a purchase is pending approval or completion, Trophy Water unlocks automatically after Apple completes it.
iCloud Sync
Trophy Water can sync private app data with iCloud through Apple's CloudKit/iCloud services. Sync availability depends on your Apple Account, device settings, iCloud storage, network connection, and Apple's services.
If iCloud is signed out, restricted, unavailable, or temporarily unreachable, Trophy Water should continue to work with local data on the device. Sign in to iCloud and reopen the app when you want sync to resume.
Location, Camera, And Photos
Trophy Water may request Location permission for nearby waters, catch locations, saved waters, trip planning, weather, water conditions, maps, depth, and stocking context. Location is optional and is not used for background tracking.
Trophy Water may request Camera access for taking catch photos or using camera-assisted measurement features where supported.
Trophy Water may use the system photo picker so you can choose photos for catch records. Saving a photo back to Photos may require Photos permission.
You can manage permissions in the iOS Settings app.
Maps, Weather, Water Data, Depth, And Stocking
Trophy Water uses Apple WeatherKit and MapKit, plus public data sources such as USGS, NOAA, state agency, and public open-data services where available.
Coverage varies by source and region. Weather, maps, depth, stocking, tide, current, stream-gage, and public data can be incomplete, delayed, revised, or unavailable.
Trophy Water is a planning and reference tool. It is not legal, safety, navigation, or regulatory guidance. Always follow current laws, posted rules, safe boating practices, and official agency guidance.
Import And Export
Use Trophy Water's export tools to keep a portable copy of your journal data. Exported packages can include records and available stored photos.
Use import only with Trophy Water export packages that you trust. Importing can restore records and photos from a previous export.
Troubleshooting
If something does not look right, try these steps:
Update Trophy Water to the latest available version.
Update iOS or iPadOS if an update is available.

For iCloud issues, confirm that iCloud is enabled and that Trophy Water is allowed to use iCloud.
For purchase issues, confirm that you are signed in to the same Apple Account used for the original purchase, then tap Restore Purchases.
